Services We Offer

Proofreading.
We review your already-edited document for any remaining errors, typos, or inconsistencies. This step should be done after layout. $40 per hour.

Copyediting.
We thoroughly edit your document for spelling, grammar, punctuation, style consistency, usage, and parallel structure. We rephrase awkward text. We consult with you on anything of substance that may require change or clarification. This step should be performed prior to layout. $50 per hour.

Substantive Editing.
We reorganize and rewrite your rough-draft document. We also thoroughly edit for spelling, grammar, punctuation, style consistency, usage, and parallel structure. We will consult with you to preserve your meaning and intent. $60-75 per hour, based on complexity.

Website Copyediting.
We review your website for spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors. We check for logical consistency and flow, from a user's point of view, which can include advice about layout. We can either make editorial changes directly to your site, work with your webmaster/designer to make the appropriate changes, or provide our edits on hard copy for your own input. $50-75 hour, based on complexity. (Note: this service is available as an ongoing, periodic review, for a contractual rate -- great if your site gets frequent updates.)
